About Ron Mark
I am a Christian Living Education (CLE) teacher at Ateneo de Manila Junior High School, specializing in Catholic religious education, curriculum development, Ignatian pedagogy, and holistic student formation. With a background in Classical Philosophy, professional teacher education, and licensure in Values Education, I bring together philosophical inquiry, Catholic theology, moral reasoning, and practical pedagogy to create meaningful learning experiences for adolescents.
My expertise includes designing competency-based lesson plans, developing instructional modules and multimedia presentations, facilitating Scripture-centered discussions, creating performance-based assessments, and integrating Catholic doctrine, morality, worship, and real-life applications into classroom instruction. I employ the Ignatian Pedagogical Paradigm, reflective learning, collaborative activities, educational games, and authentic assessment to strengthen students’ faith, critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and personal responsibility.
Beyond classroom teaching, I contribute to educational leadership, liturgical formation, music ministry, and community engagement. As Chairperson of the AJHS Community Ensemble and a leader in school liturgical initiatives, I coordinate students, faculty members, and other stakeholders in preparing meaningful musical and liturgical experiences. My work also encompasses student mentoring, faith formation, and the development of learning resources that support both academic achievement and spiritual growth.
My professional interests include integrating Christian teachings and values education into the curriculum, fostering social responsibility and service, and developing innovative approaches to adolescent faith formation. Through my teaching and leadership, I seek to form young people who are intellectually competent, morally grounded, spiritually discerning, and committed to becoming *persons for others*.
I have pursued graduate studies in Applied Theology, with a specialization in Religious and Values Education, reflecting my continuing commitment to professional growth, theological reflection, and excellence in Catholic education.
