About Avery
"Photosynthesis and respiration equations dance across the whiteboard in my mind just as clearly as clinical case studies do. I specialize in tutoring high school, college freshmen, and A-level students by linking raw biological data to actual medicine practice. My journey involves 13 years of teaching where I focus on microbiology, molecular biology, and complex ecology.
Students often struggle with homeostasis or the nervous system until we align these topics with clinical relevance. Being a Doctor of Medicine Candidate at the University of Queensland keeps my scientific method and data analysis skills razor sharp.
I find that simplifying energy flow and food webs makes these concepts stick for long-term retention. My approach is direct and honest regarding the heavy workload required for medical pathways. Managing the demands of a medical degree alongside tutoring is a balance I have refined over many years. I genuinely enjoy watching students move from confusion to absolute clarity during our time together."
