Andy is a fantastic teacher. I was very fortunate to land him as my first teacher, as a lost guitarist looking for guidance and direction to help me reach my goals. Andy plans lessons around my interests and goals, which helps keep me engaged and motivated. I would recommend him to anyone as a teacher.

Andy is an amazing guitar tutor. As someone completely new to the instrument a few months ago, he’s designed lessons to keep them fun and enjoyable with the right level of challenge. He keeps you motivated to play and learn. I’d highly recommend him to anyone wanting guidance with their guitar journey.

I started guitar lessons with Andy as a complete beginner and he's gone above and beyond, from helping me to choose my first guitar (and re-stringed it for me) through to learning some of my favourite Eagles songs. If you are looking for structured lessons with a relaxed atmosphere, with a legend of a teacher look no further!

I would recommend Andy to anyone. As someone who hadn't picked up a guitar in years and had minimal experience, and having been disappointed by a previous teacher, Andy was a breath of fresh air. He breaks down each week into digestible lessons and always incorporates songs I love to make learning fun and engaging. The online learning makes it convenient and easy to access for anyone. For beginners like me he is patient and has ultimately helped improve both my skill and confidence with guitar.

Not only does Andy rock at the guitar, he rocks at teaching it too. I started online lessons with Andy in January and have made more progress in this short period of time (2-3 months) than in the past five/ten years attempting to get better at guitar on my own - and it's been super fun! Andy's lessons are structured and delivered in such a way that I am learning new songs on a regular basis, while also developing my understanding and appreciation for music (the lingo + various elements that create it) and the instrument I'm playing. Andy really cares and loves what he does - and it is clear from the enthusiasm he brings to the prep he does prior to each lesson so that every session is in tune with the progress you are making. He is very responsive too and keen to hear your feedback and inputs/ideas to ensure the lessons meet your expectations/interests! :)

I started lessons with Andy as a complete beginner, with no real musical background or confidence playing guitar. In a surprisingly short amount of time, he helped me go from knowing absolutely nothing to being able to play some of the greatest hits I never thought I’d be capable of learning.

What I appreciate most about Andy’s teaching style is how patient, encouraging, and adaptable he is. He explains things in a way that’s easy to understand and always keeps lessons fun and engaging. Rather than making things feel overly technical or intimidating, he focuses on building confidence while still making real progress every week.

One of the best parts of learning with Andy has honestly been the atmosphere during lessons. We’ve had loads of great chats and laughs along the way, and over time it’s felt more like learning from a friend than just a tutor.

I genuinely couldn’t recommend Andy highly enough to anyone thinking about learning guitar, whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to improve your playing.

I went to Andy looking for support for my 15 year old son who was self taught but needed help reaching a different level.
From the beginning Andy was reliable, understanding and listened to what he wanted to do and achieve. Andy has helped him so much and continues to every week which has enspired my son to push harder and go further.
He enjoys his lessons and comes off buzzing showing us what he has learnt.
Thank you Andy for helping him achieve more and giving him exactly what he needed. Highly recommend.

Andy has been a fantastic teacher. He’s always extremely patient and explains theory and practical skills in a way that makes learning highly enjoyable. His space is relaxing and easy to find. I can’t recommend Andy highly enough. He tailors his lessons perfectly to what you want to learn. His enthusiasm is infectious and every lesson is a joy. Give him a go!

I’ve been having lessons with Andy. Honestly one of the best teachers out there, makes learning songs so simple whilst teaching the essential music theory. Lessons are open to discussion and Andy is happy to teach any song you may want, can’t recommend enough!

Andy created a safe space where mistakes were okay, and all that matters is music exploration. Every lesson is so fun and enjoyable, Andy takes the time to cater his lessons to you and your interests. He is a brilliant teacher!

Learning guitar with Andy has been an amazing experience. He’s super friendly and creates a very welcoming and professional atmosphere. His knowledge and experience help you get the most out of every lesson, and you can truly feel yourself making progress each time. What I especially appreciate is that Andy adjusted his teaching to my individual needs, making every session really effective and motivating. I’ve learned a lot in a short period and can wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone who wants to seriously improve their guitar playing!

It has been a pleasure working with Andy to improve my playing. He is very attentive and tries to make every class according to my progress and objectives and in that way finding the best approach for my learning. I would definitely recommend to any guitarist at any playing level to take classes with him as I'm sure he will deliver.

Andy is an amazing teacher - his level of experience means that you can trust his process and you make progress quickly. He does a great job of explaining music theory in a digestible way through music that you like, making the learning experience fun and engaging!

Andy’s teaching has the perfect mixture of structure and flexibility. He is able to cater to anything specific you’re looking for without it ending up delaying your growth as a player. I personally have been playing guitar for years already but didn’t progress very far as though I knew I didn’t practice enough that was partially because I didn’t feel my previous teachers gave me the tools I needed to know how to practice. This is not the case with Andy. He’s providing me with the knowledge to structure my own practice without guesswork. I’ve made leaps and bounds of progress now and I couldn’t recommend him enough. He’s also a really welcoming guy and very friendly, so you can feel comfortable looking forward to lessons. If you’re wanting to get better at guitar I suggest you don’t waste time anywhere else and book a lesson with Andy!

Andy is an excellent guitar tutor! He’s incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, excelling at tailoring lessons that make learning guitar approachable, structured and fun. My playing - and also understanding of musical theory - has improved dramatically since starting lessons with him. Highly recommend!

I’ve been taking Andy’s lessons weekly for about 5 months now. Hands down one of the teachers I’ve ever had in any subject. My top three reasons are: 1) Andy takes the time to understand what I want and assess how well I’m doing - he asks questions, listens carefully, and takes notes to make sure every lesson fits my needs, abilities, and learning style; 2) that said, he has a solid teaching plan and his own method, which to me shows he knows what he’s doing and where we’re headed; 3) he demands results both from me and from himself, which makes sure we don’t get stuck and make constant progress. He can hold you accountable, but in the end he doesn’t even need to - the lessons are so fun I’ll always rush home to practise what we’ve just covered.

I would highly recommend Andy as a professional, friendly, patient and very effective guitar teacher.
He tailors his lessons and learning structure to meet students where they are in their guitar skills and experience whilst also checking and ensuring previous gaps in theory and technique are covered, understood and can be applied.
He strikes a good balance of theory and application and from just 1 hour per week my guitar practice is now much more structured and enjoyable! After years of messing around with YouTube I finally have a plan with helpful feedback and feel I'm making genuine progress (although Andy might disagree!).
I'd recommend anyone on the fence on choosing a tutor to give Andy a try!

Andy is a great teacher - he explains music theory in a really simple and digestible way, which has made learning the more technical aspects fun and engaging. He listens to what I want to learn and designs exercises and practice techniques to help me get there. Andy’s always on hand to give me tips and advice between lessons and will often take time to send a voicenote or a video explaining something I need help with, which I massively appreciate. I can’t recommend him enough!

Andy is a great tutor. His lessons are super practical and tailored to what you want to achieve. He’s great at explaining both practical and theoretical concepts and has a warm and encouraging approach.

I picked up guitar as a way to relieve stress and get my mind off work. It was a small hobby.

And then I started my lessons with Andy.

He’s an incredibly thoughtful, caring and engaging instructor. Always inspiring but willing to push his students.

I’ve made enormous leaps in the six months I’ve been taking lessons with Andy. I’ve also been introduced to just how pretty the science of music is. Guitar has become a passion of mine and I’m certain it’s due greatly to Andy’s ability to bring the best of me.

Do not look elsewhere. Go with Andy.

He gave me the ability to play great things in such a short space of time whilst also explaining the fundamentals and theory in a way that was fun and easy to understand.

I've been coached by Andy for a few months now, starting as a beginner. An incredible tutor, he is very patient but at the same time is able to push me in order to acheive targets and develop my skills. I feel my ability growing with each lesson due to the balance of theory and practical teaching he provides.

I've been taking guitar lessons with Andy for a while now, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. He is an incredibly talented, motivating and engaging teacher, and doesn't rush through the course material, always ensuring I thoroughly understand everything including the knowledge behind the material. Andy regularly checks in to see if the lessons are meeting my expectations and is always accommodating to preferences. If you're looking for a dedicated and supportive guitar teacher, I highly recommend him!

Andy is an incredible teacher and musician. He deconstructs music into bite-sized pieces making it easy to understand for students. He also paints a holistic picture of the music on the canvas showing the science behind the art, while at the same time teaches to focus on a high quality in guitar play. Highly recommend!

Andy is amazing at getting the best out of his students as he’s driven and understands perfectly what they need to thrive. He’s also a very lovely person.

Andy is a fantastic teacher whose lessons are fun and engaging. He caters to whatever style of music and playing you want to focus on and is very knowledgeable. Andy has helped me massively improve my music theory knowledge and soloing/improvisational skills. I always look forward to my next lesson with him!

Reached out to Andy as I'd felt like I'd stagnated as a player. He's helped me with my fretboard solos, freeing me from being boxed in within the one pentatonic position. I've already seen my fretboard geography improve as well as my general music and chord/triad based theory. Lessons are fun but focused and Andy is a great guy and tutor. Highly recommended.

Always really good fun and super knowledgeable. My playing has come an along way since taking lessons with Andy and I'm enjoying it more than ever!

Andy is a brilliant guitar teacher! He is patient, knowledgeable, and always brings good energy to the lessons. He's great at tailoring the session to fit your needs and helps you achieve a more rounded skillset. I've really enjoyed the first few lessons and I have already noticed an improvement in my ability and confidence with the guitar.

Andy has been incredibly effective in helping me grasp theoretical guitar concepts and making sense of my playing. He quickly assessed my skill level and tailored his lessons to fill in the gaps without unnecessary repetition. Over the past 2 months I have definitely improved. Overall, he's a great guitar teacher who truly understands his students' needs.

I've recently started learning guitar with Andy as an absolute beginner. Andy has been great in making me feel comfortable and excited to learn the guitar. His patience and enthesiasm has made it a great experience so far. I look forward to continuing my lessons and seeing how much I can learn! Thanks Andy!

Andy has been teaching my Daughter (11) for the last 9 months, he is an excellent teacher, extremely talented but more importantly able to teach in an interesting, stretching and positive manner. He is very patient and tailors the lessons to ability and what music Tabitha is interested in learning. She’s rated him 100%, I agree, would highly recommend him .

Andy is a great teacher, really enthusiastic and laid back. He has a detailed knowledge of music and music theory also. Lessons are relaxed but he does push you to reach your potential, which is important.

Andy has been great for me as an intermediate guitarist to fill in the gaps in my skills and knowledge. He always brings a positive and helpful approach to our lessons and is a pleasure to work with. Thanks Andy!

Andy is a great tutor. He provides a great balance of technique, theory, fun, and the benefits of his composition experience. He's flexible and listens well and his follow up videos are really helpful.

Andy has been teaching me guitar for around 6 months now. What he really brought to the table was a clear idea of what I was lacking which he seemed to know intuitively, and he gave me the knowledge and skills to move forward with music and enjoy making music beyond 'practicing'. Andy is a composer as well as a guitarist and this element has definitely shined in our lessons as we work on tracks in Logic or talk about how particular songs are put together, broadening my understanding of music and how it's structured. Overall just a great tutor who opened the world of music to me in a way that youtube/home learning never could.

I came from no musical knowledge background and in few lessons I learnt and understood the basics. Andy is a very clear, patient and supportive teacher. His lessons come with recap and advices.I highly recommend him.

Just wanna shout out a huge thanks to Andy! You’ve been an awesome teacher and mentor and have inspired me to become a better musician. I’m grateful for everything you’ve taught me.

Andy has been an incredible teacher, his enthusiasm for music is infectious and you feel as though he really tailors each lesson to the student!

Andy took the time to really understand what I wanted to get out of my guitar lessons before we got started. He’s super knowledgeable as well as friendly and I started picking up vital tips at our initial meeting. His lessons are really good. Definitely highly recommended.

Andy's a friendly, intelligent guy. Super clear communicator with a visible love for music and teaching. He's made me feel comfortable from the start and has been super attentive about adapting the lessons to my particular goals.

Each lesson also comes with a video recap which I've found invaluable for practice, 10/10. Can't recommend the guy enough.

Andy is a fantastic guitar teacher, very patient and experienced. He listens to your requirements and tailors the lessons according to your interests, highly recommended.

I’ve had a few lessons with Andy now and he’s absolutely brilliant. He’s very knowledgeable and makes the lessons fun and easy to understand.

I’d highly recommend him to anyone who wants to learn how to play a guitar.

After restarting the at the young age of 40 (after 24 years hiatus) Andy has reinvigorated me. Carefully listening to what I want to achieve and blending the balance between theory and plain rocking out. This year has been 11/10 thanks to Andy. I couldn't recommend him more. Alex (London)

I’ve had a guitar for a number of year but I’ve never been able to grasp the fundamentals in relation to playing a guitar successful. I’m delighted that I’ve finally got around to having guitar lessons. Andy is a really friendly and down to earth guy. I feel extremely comfortable in asking anything, no matter how silly I may think it may sound. Andy has an ability to explain thing in a way which isn’t complicated or difficult to understand.
