About Erica
Hi, I'm Erica! I'm a Cégep student with a strong passion for English and helping others succeed. I graduated from an English high school averaging 80-90% in every English class I took. I help with reading, writing, grammar, and oral presentations. What makes me a reliable and professional tutor is that I’m patient, approachable, and I take your learning seriously. I’ve been in your shoes not long ago, so I understand the pressure of trying to keep up, improve your marks, or just make sense of the material. I create a comfortable learning space where there’s no such thing as a bad question, and we move at your pace. You can count on me to be prepared, on time, and fully focused on your progress. Whether you’re in primary school or high school, I’ll help you feel more confident in English by giving you the tools, tips, and support that actually work.

As a Cégep student who attended English high school and consistently averaged over 80-90% in all English classes, I know how to make English understandable and less overwhelming for students. My goal is to help students feel more confident in their reading, writing, grammar, and oral communication skills—whether they're just starting out or preparing for final exams. My teaching style is simple, relatable, and based on real conversations. I explain things in everyday language, break down assignments into clear steps, and give lots of examples. I adapt each lesson based on how you learn best—whether that's going through texts together, writing practice paragraphs, reviewing class notes, or even just talking things out. A typical lesson might include: Reviewing a recent homework or class topic Practicing specific skills like grammar, writing structure, or reading comprehension Working through examples step by step together Leaving you with personalized tips or a small practice task for next time What sets me apart is that I understand the school system, because I just went through it myself! I know what teachers expect, how to approach assignments, and how to break big tasks into smaller pieces that actually make sense. My lessons are perfect for elementary to high school students (Grades 1 to 11), whether you're struggling with the basics or aiming to boost your marks. I'm especially good with students who need a calm, encouraging space to ask questions and go at their own pace.
