About Rafaela
Hi! My name is Rafaela, I'm from Porto Alegre (Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil). My lessons use communicative approach, which means we'll focus on real-life communication. Besides that, I always use culture, entertainment, current issues and interests of each student to plan lessons.
I have seven years of experience as a private teacher and a BA in languages with a teaching qualification from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). During my undergraduate studies, I was a teacher and researcher in the university's Portuguese for Foreigners Program.
I teach Portuguese for all levels and ages. I also prepare students for Brazilian Portuguese proficiency exams, such as Celpe-Bras.

Eu tinha o privilégio de ser um estudante de Rafaela quando eu estava completando meu último semestre de faculdade e ela foi “incrível!” Neste tempo, ela foi ajudando liderar as aulas de português pelos estrangeiros na UFRGS e o nível de atenção cada um de nos recebeu lá tinha um impacto forte. Mal posso recomenda-lá mais! Ela vai desafiar suas habilidades mas com um desejo verdadeiro de ver você melhorar. “Obrigado” por tudo - Chris A.
Professor Rafaela is truly exceptional. She taught me so much, covering a broad range of subjects, from history and politics to essential knowledge that deepens my understanding. What I love most is her approach is that she challenges me to push my limits while maintaining a kind, supportive attitude. Her teaching style has the perfect balance between rigor and encouragement, making every lesson both impactful and enjoyable.
