About Florence
Hello! I'm Florence, a passionate and dedicated English tutor who believes every child can succeed with the right guidance and encouragement. I create a supportive, engaging, and enjoyable learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in English Education from Adekunle Ajasin University, a Graduate Diploma in Educational Leadership Studies from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador, and I am a Certified Professional Teacher. With several years of teaching experience in both classroom and online settings, I have helped children strengthen their English skills such as reading, writing, speaking, grammar, phonics, and comprehension.
I teach children aged 4-16, tailoring every lesson to each learner's goals, abilities, and learning style. Whether your child needs help catching up, getting ahead, completing homework, or building confidence, I am committed to making every lesson engaging, effective, and rewarding. I believe every child can learn and succeed when taught with patience, encouragement, and the right teaching approach. My lessons are interactive, engaging, and tailored to each student's individual needs, learning style, and pace. I use games, stories, visual aids, real-life examples, and practical activities to make English enjoyable and easy to understand.
A typical lesson lasts 1 hour, although shorter lessons (30-45 minutes) can be arranged for younger learners. Each lesson includes a review of previous work, clear explanations, guided practice, interactive activities, and feedback to help students build confidence and make steady progress.
