About Laurie
I teach English as a Second Language and as a Foreign Language to individuals privately as well as at a community college. I've been teaching since 2005. I love what I do. I am fluent in French so I have personal experience in learning a foreign language myself.

I find out what my student's level is first, then we discuss what their goals are. I usually focus on all 4 skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. I integrate grammar learning in context as well as when it comes up through speaking and writing. I try to choose material that is not only practical but very interesting to the student.
