About Vincent
My name is Vincent Feroce, and I am a certified Social Studies teacher (Grades 5–12) and Special Education teacher (K–12) with years of experience helping students achieve academic success. I currently teach in the New York City public school system, where I work with a diverse population of learners and help students develop the critical thinking, reading, writing, and analytical skills needed to excel in the classroom and beyond.
Throughout my career, I have successfully prepared students for Regents examinations, state assessments, and challenging coursework in U.S. History, Global History, Civics, and Social Studies. My background in both general and special education allows me to tailor instruction to each student's individual learning style, ensuring that every learner receives the support and challenge they need to grow.
I am committed to creating a positive, professional, and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and taking ownership of their learning. Whether a student is seeking extra help with coursework, preparing for an upcoming exam, or striving to improve overall academic performance, I provide personalized instruction designed to meet their specific goals.
As an educator, I believe that success comes from building strong relationships, maintaining high expectations, and helping students recognize their own potential. My goal is not only to improve grades and test scores but also to help students develop the skills and confidence necessary for long-term academic achievement.

Hello! My name is Vincent, and I am a certified Social Studies teacher and Special Education teacher (K–12) with experience teaching middle and high school students in New York. As a current educator, I specialize in U.S. History, Global History, Civics, and Regents Exam preparation.
My teaching approach focuses on building confidence, strengthening critical thinking skills, and helping students develop a deeper understanding of historical concepts rather than simply memorizing facts. I differentiate instruction to meet the needs of each learner by using graphic organizers, guided notes, practice questions, primary source analysis, and scaffolded writing support. I believe that every student can succeed when lessons are tailored to their learning style and academic goals.
A typical lesson begins with a brief review of prior learning and a discussion of the day's objective. Students then engage with historical content through interactive activities, document analysis, note-taking strategies, and Regents-style practice questions. Lessons conclude with a review of key concepts and targeted feedback to help students monitor their progress and prepare for future assessments.
What sets me apart is my experience working with a diverse range of learners, including students with exceptionalities and English Language Learners. As both a Social Studies and Special Education teacher, I understand how to break down complex concepts into manageable steps while still maintaining high academic expectations. My goal is not only to improve grades and test scores but also to help students become more confident, independent learners.
My lessons are designed for middle school, high school, and Regents-level students seeking support in Social Studies courses, essay writing, document-based questions (DBQs), thematic essays, test preparation, study skills, and overall academic success.
