About Angie
Hello, I'm Ange, a native British English tutor from the south-west of England, a TEFL-qualified teacher and a certified IELTS coach.
I've been teaching English online for several years and have taught over 3,700 lessons to adult learners from around 30 countries, earning dozens of five-star reviews along the way. My students have included professionals preparing for jobs abroad, students applying to UK and international universities, and families working towards visas, so I understand how much a good IELTS score can mean.
My teaching style is warm, patient and honest. I'll never make you feel embarrassed about a mistake, but I also won't just tell you what you want to hear. You'll get clear, practical feedback that actually moves your score forward.

My lessons are built around one thing: getting you the band score you need. In our first lesson, we'll find out where you are now, where you need to be and when your test is, then I'll build a plan that focuses on the areas that will make the biggest difference to your result.
We'll work on all four parts of the test, with extra attention on Speaking and Writing, where personal feedback matters most. For Speaking, you'll practise with realistic mock questions covering all three parts of the test and get honest, practical feedback on fluency, vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. For Writing, I'll mark your Task 1 and Task 2 answers against the official IELTS band descriptors and show you exactly what's holding your score back and how to fix it. For Reading and Listening, you'll learn proven strategies for each question type so you can manage your time with confidence on test day.
Lessons last 50 minutes and take place online, and my rate covers one 50-minute lesson. Between lessons, I can set writing tasks for you to complete so you get feedback on your progress every week.
I'm a TEFL-qualified native British English tutor and certified IELTS coach, and I've taught over 3,700 online lessons to adult learners from around 30 countries. I understand the pressure of preparing for an exam when a lot is riding on the result, whether it's for university, work or a visa.
These lessons are for adults and older teenagers at intermediate level and above (around B1 to C1) who are preparing for IELTS Academic or General Training. If your English isn't quite at that level yet, I can help you build your general English first, so you're ready to start IELTS preparation, though this will mean a longer commitment. Lessons are friendly, relaxed and supportive, but always focused on your goal.
