About Skylar

Hello! My name is Shuying Li, a certified Mandarin teacher with a teaching qualification and a current graduate student at UTS. With years of teaching experience, I am passionate about education and sharing the beauty of the Chinese language and culture with others.

I chose to teach Mandarin because I love helping students overcome language barriers and build confidence. Mandarin is not just a language but a bridge to understanding a rich and vibrant culture. Whether you're a beginner or looking to improve your speaking or writing skills, I’m here to provide you with a professional, engaging, and enjoyable learning experience.

About the lesson

I specialize in teaching Mandarin through conversational methods, creating a relaxed and interactive environment to help students naturally develop language skills. Sessions typically last 45 minutes to 1 hour, with flexibility to meet students’ needs.
With a Mandarin certificate and teaching qualification, I have extensive experience. My lessons are suitable for learners of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to those aiming to enhance their conversational fluency.

For sports and fencing lessons, I focus on skill development and physical training to build confidence and competence. These 1-hour sessions are ideal for beginners or intermediate-level youth and adults.

A certified Mandarin teacher and UTS graduate student, I offer online Chinese lessons for all levels. As a PE teacher, I also provide in-person sports and fencing lessons.
