About Ilenia
¡Hola! I’m Ilenia, I’m 34 years old and I’m a native Spanish teacher from San Sebastián with 11+ years of international experience (UK, Australia, and Germany).
Outside the classroom, I love travelling! I’ve lived in three countries over the last decade, and building a life in new places has been incredibly enriching. I’m passionate about my culture and language, and I enjoy organising conversation-exchange events and connecting with multicultural communities wherever I go.
I have 8 years of experience teaching at Spanish House London, working with both adults and children. In Melbourne, I taught group classes from A1 to C1 at El Patio and worked as a DELE examiner at Instituto Cervantes for 2 years. I'm also a travel writer and content creator for Devour tours focusing on my hometown, San Sebastián.
PS: I'm learning German from scratch so I know what it is to be a language student
I’m looking forward to meeting you and hearing about your goals :)
¡Nos vemos pronto!

- Relevant training & experience : I have degree in Communication and a Diploma in ELE. I’ve taught at prestigious institutions like Instituto Cervantes (Melbourne).
-Super resourceful: My classes are dynamic and interactive, using a massive library of digital resources, textbooks and personalised materials
I love working with beginners (my favourite!) and preparing students for DELE too. I've helped students pass A2,B1,B2 and even the feared C1!)
I'm also an expert in simply practising conversation with current, dynamic topics and adding some colloquial expressions to make you sound native fast.
