I use research-based methods such as phonics instruction, multisensory learning techniques, and comprehension strategies to help students develop essential literacy skills. I integrate interactive activities, visual aids, and real-world examples to make learning fun and effective. Regular progress assessments allow me to adjust lessons and ensure consistent growth.
Typical Lesson Plan
Warm-Up: Begin with a fun literacy game or review activity to engage the student.
Skill Focus: Introduce or practice a specific skill, such as phonemic awareness or sight word recognition, using hands-on and interactive materials.
Reading Practice: Work on reading fluency and comprehension with age-appropriate texts.
Spelling Practice: Apply spelling rules and patterns through writing exercises and activities.
Wrap-Up: Reflect on the session’s achievements and set goals for the next meeting.
What Sets Me Apart
I pride myself on creating a nurturing and patient learning atmosphere that builds a child’s confidence and fosters a love for reading. My ability to adapt my teaching style to match each student’s learning pace and interests ensures a personalized and effective experience.
Who My Lessons Are For
My lessons are designed for Kindergarten through 4th grade students who may need extra support in developing foundational reading and spelling skills. Whether they are struggling readers, English language learners, or simply looking to strengthen their literacy abilities, my sessions are tailored to meet their individual needs.
