About Evon
The faint smell of sulfur lingers in my lab apron after 3 years spent guiding high school juniors and seniors through complex chemical reactions. I earned my BS Chemistry degree from the University of Virginia and later completed a rigorous teaching credential program. Classroom teaching sharpened my ability to explain thermodynamics, while one-to-one tutoring allowed me to refine my focus on quantitative problem sets.
My approach centers on teaching the core concept first to build a solid foundation. After the theory is settled, I lock it in with intensive, targeted practice sessions that mimic actual exam conditions.
This methodology creates a confident, repeatable approach for any student tackling the AP Chemistry curriculum. You will find that my style is efficient, sharp, and highly encouraging for those aiming for top marks. Please feel free to reach out if you would like to discuss your goals. I am happy to chat about how my background can assist you.

Rapid feedback loops define my instruction, much like the precise titration measurements that change color the instant a solution reaches neutrality. I prioritize clear, concise explanations followed by immediate, low-stakes drills to verify your grasp of kinetics, atomic structure, and acids and bases.
Students gain a custom study plan that targets their specific weaknesses in gas laws or stoichiometry to ensure no time is wasted on redundant work. We will dissect difficult FRQ technique questions until the logic becomes second nature to you.
My goal is to transform your frustration with equilibrium into a reliable, analytical process that holds up under pressure. Expect a brisk pace that moves quickly through known material while slowing down for the complex calculations that frequently appear on the exam.
I emphasize efficient problem-solving strategies that keep your confidence high during high-stakes testing scenarios. Lab skills and theoretical concepts merge here into a coherent roadmap for success. I look forward to working with you to organize your path forward.
