About Fiona
My name is Chimdindu, and I am passionate about helping people discover the beauty of the Chinese language. I graduated with a degree in Chinese Studies from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, where I spent years learning not only the language but also the rich culture, history, and traditions of China. My language journey started out of curiosity, but over time it grew into a deep interest and love for Chinese. I understand how challenging it can feel at first, especially with tones and characters, but I also know that with the right guidance, learning Chinese can be exciting and very rewarding. That is why I enjoy teaching—it allows me to share what I’ve learned in a way that makes the process easier and enjoyable for others.

My lessons are interactive, simple, and practical. I believe in starting with real-life conversations so students can begin speaking from Day One. I combine:
Step-by-step grammar and vocabulary
Listening and pronunciation practice
Reading and writing (Hanzi/characters)
Cultural insights to make learning meaningful
I also adapt my teaching to your personal goals—whether it’s for exams (like HSK), travel, work, or just learning a new skill.

I have seen Fiona's passion to teach.
Whether it's Chinese, cooking, or guitar lessons, the enthusiasm she brings to the classroom every time, makes learning fun.
Most importantly, she's always eager to adjust to meet the needs of her student. I can say this because it really takes patience to adjust to my learning method.Fiona is a great person and a great tutor. Learning Chinese from her has been the best thing that happened to me. I highly recommend Fiona. Keep it up teacher fiona
I trust her because she helped me understood Chinese when i couldn’t keep up with my classmates. She took her time to really explain it to me
