About Jenna
As a mathematics tutor, I am committed to fostering a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and promoting academic success through a student-centered approach. I aim to cultivate a learning environment where students develop both conceptual comprehension and problem-solving skills. Drawing on a variety of instructional strategies, I tailor my teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles, utilizing techniques such as scaffolded learning, Socratic questioning, and real-world applications. The maximum amount of subjects per learner is 2. If the learner would like tutoring in all 3, the price increases by £5 per hour.
I have three teaching methods based on how fast an individual is able to learn and understand the general concepts in a subject:
1. Following along the subject specification with Easy, Medium, Hard sequenced exercises.
2. Immediately starting on past paper questions, if it is evident that the learner has knowledge of the topic but struggles to apply it.
3. Teaching the subject from the basic concepts up to the challenging concepts, which aren’t necessarily compulsory but significantly increases understanding.
The length of sessions varies from an 1-2 hours, which can seem short at times, however the previously listed methods are still efficient within the given time frame.
