About Katie

I have been an elementary school teacher with experience teaching Kindergarten through 5th grade, including special education and a self-contained 3rd grade classroom. My background allows me to support a wide range of learning styles and academic needs with patience and understanding. I hold a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, giving me strong insight into curriculum, instruction, and student development. As a mother of two, I understand both the academic and emotional needs of children, and I’m passionate about helping students grow in confidence, skills, and love for learning.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to meet each child exactly where they are and help them grow with confidence and understanding. As an elementary teacher, I use proven classroom strategies along with personalized, one-on-one support to strengthen reading, math, and core academic skills. Sessions are engaging, patient, and encouraging, focused on closing learning gaps, building strong foundations, and helping students feel successful, capable, and proud of their progress.
