About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to your needs, dependent on age, ability and goals and draw on my experience of my industry to create a fun but challenging space for you to grow! I have 5 years teaching experience and I currently teach the below subjects and styles: FOR CHILDREN/TEENS - Acting - Singing (Musical Theatre / Contemporary / Rock / Pop) - LAMDA (Acting / Musical Theatre /Verse & Prose/Public Speaking) FOR ADULTS/TEENS - Acting (stage & screen) - Singing (Musical Theatre / Contemporary / Rock / Pop) - Acting through song - Drama school audition prep - Audition prep (for working professionals) - Public speaking / Articulation / Accent work For drama school auditions I can help you source material that suits you and that you love and walk you through each stage of the process to give you confidence. In 2021 I’m pleased to say that 3 of my students were accepted into their chosen drama or music school, and this year already one of my singing students has been accepted into BRIT School. I teach the LAMDA syllabus to over 60 pupils across 2 schools in London and have had great results, with on average 85% achieving a Distinction. I also have experience working with students for whom English is a 2nd language, either in Acting or simply articulation in English to gain confidence in their day to day lives. I have a full enhanced DBS check, and public liability insurance! Lessons can be held online or at a your house if local. Please get in touch to discuss what you are looking for and see if I can be of help!

Perfect! Amy is a wonderful voice coach! She is very personable and makes her students instantly feel at ease and in a safe space. She uses her in-depth knowledge of vocal anatomy to illustrate how to create different sounds and make the abstract more concrete. I found her warm-up exercises and knowledge of the industry particularly helpful!

Amy’s classes are brilliant!!! I would recommend her for sure. I had so much fun looking at the character and learning how to break down a script. My acting performance has definitely improved. She records the zoom class too so you can watch it back for practice which is really helpful. thank you!

I took Musical Theatre singing lessons with Amy for over a year and she was amazing. My voice improved so much in this time thanks to the technique I learnt and how to apply that to material. We did lots of acting through song too. She is patient, encouraging, creative and inspiring and I looked forward to my lessons each week :) thank you!

I've been working with Amy for a few months for Drama School auditions and she has honestly been a god send. Not only has she helped me source brilliant material, she's walked me through the audition process for several schools, helped me work on character and interpreting the text, and also brought out a confidence in me by celebrating what is unique about me as a performer and teaching me how to utilise that in my acting. Can't wait for the lessons ahead and would highly recommend to anyone auditioning!
