About Rayner
I’m currently studying English and Political Science at the George Washington University. In high school, I interned at our writing center and had special training in editing, proofreading, Resumes/Cover Letters, academic essays, and creative writing. I’ve also tutored Algebra 1 and 2, and enjoy any chance I get to help people grow in their knowledge and mastering.

My teaching method centers around the process of writing and reading, rather than the final product one produces. I encourage active communication of what both tutor and tutee are thinking, including questions they have, ideas they come up with, or the logic by which they come to an answer. I believe in the power of simple questioning—when a student is asked the right questions concerning how to think about something, they are almost always capable of reaching the right conclusions on their own.
