About Julie
I am a recent graduate of North Carolina State University with degrees in International Studies and Anthropology and minors in Spanish and Nonprofit Studies. Being a recent student in the humanities, I have extensive essay-writing experience. I have experience with all kinds of writing and have always had a natural talent for understanding literature. I took AP Literature and Language classes in high school and completed several English classes in college for my own enjoyment. I am excellent at editing writing and can teach poetry analysis as well. I have tutored my younger siblings their whole lives and served as a peer tutor in several different settings.

I like to meet students where they are at, as literacy and writing do not come as easily to some as it does to others. I think fostering a love of reading is the first step in developing a student's mastery of English. I would be an excellent aid to your child's online school instruction because I can provide personalized assistance and fill in the gaps between the online format and what your child needs to succeed. I would identify where the student struggles and work with them to develop strategies that address those problem areas.
