Hello! My name is Hallie! I am a passionate, fun, and friendly nursing student who is committed to helping students understand and feel confident in their abilities. I take the time to understand each student’s individual needs, strengths, and areas for improvement so that every lesson is focused and effective. I believe that anyone can improve their English skills with the right guidance, practice, and encouragement.
Whether you need help with homework, want to prepare for an upcoming exam, are studying for the ACT, or are looking to strengthen your overall English skills, I will provide a supportive and friendly learning environment. My goal is to make English less intimidating, build your confidence, and help you succeed!

My goal is to create a supportive environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes, and build confidence without feeling embarrassed or overwhelmed.
I use a combination of clear explanations, examples, guided practice, and interactive activities. I break difficult concepts into smaller, easier-to-understand steps and adjust my teaching style based on each student's individual needs.
A typical lesson begins by reviewing previous material and identifying anything the student is still struggling with. We then introduce a new topic, work through examples together, and complete guided practice. The student will have opportunities to practice independently while I provide feedback and clarification. We finish by reviewing the main concepts and identifying what to work on before the next lesson.
I am patient, approachable, and focused on making students feel comfortable while learning. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I take the time to understand where a student is struggling and explain concepts in different ways until they make sense. I want students to leave each lesson feeling more confident and capable than when they started!
My English lessons are suitable for elementary, middle school, and high school students, as well as college students who need additional help with English courses. I can help with grammar, reading comprehension, vocabulary, essay writing, proofreading, sentence structure, and general English skills.

I've known Hallie since freshman year of high school. She always helped me with my english and math (because lord knows I wasn't the best at either), and she helped me get my ACT score from an 18 to a 26. She is such an amazing teacher, I swear. Have I mentioned she's a good teacher?
