I would cater my lessons to meet the needs of the students by targeting their weak spots.Once the student is more confident I would teach ahead of what the student is studying in school so that they are already ahead of their classmates and feel prepared on the topics about to be learned by their teachers.
Depending on how often the lessons are I will give regular feedback on their improvement.
