About Nicholas
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Music, a field that sits at the intersection of programming, signal processing, and artistic research. Over the past ten years, I have built a solid foundation in software development, working both in academic research and in professional startup environments.
My technical expertise centers on C++ and Python, which I have used extensively for audio software development, creative programming, and general-purpose applications. Working in startups taught me to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code under real-world constraints, which is a perspective I bring into every tutoring session.
I am passionate about making programming accessible and meaningful. Whether you are struggling with the basics or looking to sharpen your skills at a more advanced level, I will meet you where you are and help you progress with clarity and confidence.

I offer personalized tutoring in C++ and Python for students at all levels, from beginners encountering programming for the first time to intermediate learners tackling more advanced coursework or projects.
My approach centers on understanding over memorization. Each session begins with identifying where you're stuck or what concept needs clarifying, then we work through it together with real examples. I will not just give you the answer; I'll guide you to find it yourself, which builds both confidence and lasting knowledge.
I draw on ten years of programming experience and a professional background in software development to bring real-world relevance to every topic. My specialization in audio software and creative programming means abstract concepts always have concrete context, but I'm equally at home with algorithms, data structures, and core fundamentals.
Lessons are structured but flexible: we start from where you are, whether that's coursework, a personal project, or interview prep, and build systematically from there.
