About Zoya

I’m Zoya, a passionate tutor with a strong background in O Level Additional Mathematics and A Level Mathematics. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's of Computer Science in Canada. With a student-focused approach, I simplify complex concepts, making math enjoyable and understandable.

About the lesson

Teaching Methodology:
I focus on breaking down complex mathematical concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps. My sessions emphasize problem-solving, critical thinking, and practical applications of mathematics.

Typical Lesson Plan:

Warm-up (5-10 minutes): Quick recap of previous topics or solving a problem to set the tone.

Concept Explanation (20-30 minutes): Step-by-step explanation of new topics with examples.

Guided Practice (20 minutes): Solving problems together with detailed discussions.

Independent Practice (15 minutes): Students solve selected problems independently, followed by feedback and corrections.

Q&A and Wrap-Up (5 minutes): Clearing doubts and summarizing key takeaways.

What Sets Me Apart:

Personalized lesson plans tailored to the student's pace and learning style with Real-life examples to make abstract concepts relatable and engaging. Not to forget, I am EXTREMELY patient so you can ask me a question a hundred times and I will reply with the same effort to make you understand the concept. But I believe that I can explain it in one time ; )

Who the Lessons Are For:
The lessons are for anyone and everyone ranging from grade 1 to grade 12.

I had the opportunity to be a batch mate while studying with Zoya in our Computer Science program. Zoya is not only academically driven but is also immensely patient and resourceful when explaining complex mathematical concepts. I remember preparing for a tough exam together, and the way she clearly explained the concepts and problem-solving strategies made even the hardest topics appear manageable. Her friendly teaching style, along with simplifying complex material into easier steps, makes her an excellent tutor. I highly recommend Zoya to the Superprof community for anyone looking to excel in mathematics.
