About Xiaorui
I hold a bachelor’s degree in visual arts from Shanghai University and a master’s degree in game design from SMU Guildhall. My background is rooted in strong traditional art training, with a specialization in realistic drawing and portraiture. I excel at capturing intricate details, accurate proportions, and lifelike expressions, using techniques such as shading, perspective, and composition to create visually compelling works. My education and years of practice have allowed me to refine my 2D drawing skills and develop a deep understanding of artistic fundamentals. As an artist and teacher, I strive to help students master realistic drawing techniques while encouraging them to express their unique creativity and artistic vision.

What sets me apart is my professional background as a 3D artist, which brings a unique perspective to teaching traditional drawing techniques, especially in understanding structure and form. I prioritize creating an inclusive, encouraging environment that helps students at any level, from beginners to advanced learners, develop their artistic voice and technical foundation.
