About Thaís

I have eight years of teaching experience across classrooms, studio/atelier and public spaces. During this time, I have supported students in their creative development and in preparation for university entrance exams, with many successful admissions, always respecting individual rhythms and processes. My background includes international exhibition curation at the Village Arts Factory (Michigan, USA), as well as the exhibition and sale of illustrations at the Georgetown Flea Market (Washington, USA). In Brazil, I have participated in the production of art fairs and exhibitions such as Selva Humana (2018) and Sincronicidade (2019). Currently, I design classes, workshops, and artistic projects that connect art, space, and community, encouraging experimentation, learning, and self-expression through dialogue, care, and shared experience.

About the lesson

Hi, I'm Thaís from Brasil :) I teach with patience and a personalized approach, focusing on each student's specific challenges. I draw and paint alongside my students, making the learning process clearer, more accessible, and more engaging. My classes use dynamic methods and explore a wide range of drawing and painting techniques, including color studies, sketching, scale, depth, light and shadow, and perspective. I work with simple and effective methods that sharpen visual perception and develop a deeper understanding of color, form, and texture. My goal is to help students build confidence in their creative abilities, even if they already have basic skills, are complete beginners or aspiring professionals. Class content (fundamentals): Introduction to essential materials. Perception of shapes and basic structures. Proportion and shading studies. Perspective techniques. Creation of artistic compositions.

Thais is an amazing tutor.
She taught me how to draw in such a short time, and I was able to create artwork I never imagined I could do.
Drawing was always a challenge for me, but Thais made it feel easy and achievable.
She truly knew how to guide me step by step and explain things in a clear, practical way. Incredibly patient and encouraging our class, from her helped me understand many perspectives on art.

I really enjoyed learning with Thais. She has a special gift for teaching, turning difficult concepts into something easy to understand and work through. Her patience and encouraging approach helped me gain confidence in abilities I once doubted. Beyond her skills as a tutor, she has a beautiful and genuine soul — someone who seems to understand things on a deeper level and bring that warmth into every lesson.

"Usamos as cores não para imitar a natureza. Mas, sim, para expressar as nossas emoções".
Ao encontrar a Thais no desenho e na aquarela, foi esta a minha sensação.
Bem formada, artista e Professora.
Difícil encontrar tudo em uma.
Parabéns, Thais.
Fora d Arte não há salvação.
Continue espalhando e comungando cores e emoções na sua vida, para nossa alegria.
