About Megan
I'm Megan, a current French student and passionate teacher who is determined to inspire in my students the same love of the language that I have! I empathise with the students who claim they 'hate French': the endless vocabulary lists, impossible grammar concepts, and native speakers who speak insanely fast... It's all so daunting to a student just trying to get a good grade. I was in the exact same situation only a few years ago but now I'm studying French at one of the best universities in the country and speak it every day - and I'm loving every minute of it! I'm living proof that through hard work and resilience, you can succeed in French and I'm making it my mission to ensure you do.

I adapt each lesson to my students' individual needs; since French is such a broad subject, containing 6 key aspects (reading, writing, listening, speaking, translation, and grammar), every student will need a unique balance of support which I can provide. I spent this past year teaching English in Belgium where I spoke French every day and gained a high level of fluency, as well as a passion for teaching. As an A-Level student, I provided support for my peers and younger students in the form of one-to-one speaking practice. In 2022, I passed my GCSE French with a grade 9 and in 2024 my A-Level with an A, so I am also keenly aware of and up to date with the intricacies of exam technique; fluency in French does not necessarily equate to high GCSE/A-Level grades! Classes are an hour long.
