About Emily
Hi! I’m Emily, and I’m currently studying a Master’s in Biomedical Science at Newcastle, focusing on Clinical Genetics. I’m a passionate biology tutor who genuinely loves talking about biology and sharing my knowledge with others. I know that biology in schools can sometimes feel very exam-focused, which can take away some of the fun and curiosity that makes the subject so interesting. One of the main reasons I love teaching is that I enjoy bringing that excitement back, while still helping students succeed academically. I find it incredibly rewarding to break down complex ideas into clear, approachable explanations and to help students grow in confidence. My aim is to create a relaxed, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing a genuine understanding of biology.
