About Maddy
For the past three years, I’ve tutored peers within my dorms in STEM subjects. I’ve helped students in several subjects like calculus, biology, chemistry, physics, geometry, statistics, excel formatting, and more. For me, tutoring has been about more than just learning, and also about forging connections with those around you through striving towards a common goal. I want to see students succeed in the things they work hard in, and will do all I can to ensure that happens!

Students all think in different ways— instead of teaching memorization, I will cultivate a personalized understanding for each student so that they can comprehend topics in a way that works well for them. Additionally, I will create a space that emphasizes confusion as a sign of deeper thinking rather than a setback in order to foster confidence in students. I believe children have a potential for greatness, and that by supporting them we can enable them to flourish on their own!
