About Conor

Go mbeannaí Dia duit, cé chaoi bhfuil tú! My name is Conor and I have been passionate about languages, especially Irish since I was a kid. Being from Galway city I have spend a lot of time learning the language from Conamara native speakers, as well as studying the language at 3rd level.

My qualifications

H1 Irish Leaving Certificate
1.1 First Class Honors UG
Tutored Irish online in a virtual exchange to students of University of Villanova in the USA.
Currently studying Irish in the Gaeltacht for a semester for my university degree
Fluent in Conamara dialect of Irish.

I am also interested in methods of language acquisition such as spaced repetition and comprehensible input, as well as teaching methods.

About the lesson

My lessons are custom designed to suit whichever topic you wish to cover, just E-mail me the area it is you wish to cover, and I will prepare the notes and the class. Sometimes I will jump from one topic to the next as well mid-lesson, if I think you have a good understanding of a topic, and that your ready for something new. Having studied linguistics and Irish grammer I am capable of tutoring a wide variety of topics, including pronunciation, grammar, comprehension and syntax.

For students seeking Leaving Cert grinds, my lessons will focus on exam preparation and building confidence for the oral. We will revise topics as you cover them in class, as I believe repetition is the key to learning.
