About Annalise
Hi! My name’s Annalise! I’m a BA student at UCalgary majoring in English! I am pursuing law school after my degree and love anything English-based. I have been on a debate team, and now on the university's law trial and debate team. I excel at persuasive and analytical (reading novels and writing about them) writing. I have done tutoring myself in physics and calculus so I understand the struggles of not grasping a concept right away and would love to help those in need!

What sets me apart as a tutor is that English has always been my favorite and strongest subject, I excel at argumentative writing/essays. I was in my high school debate class, and now at UCalgary so I understand how arguments work and can assist with that. I am also in Spanish classes so I understand the frustrations of not understanding the grammar of a language. My teaching methods would consist of proofreading, helping with concepts, and literacy devices including diction and syntax. A lesson plan for me would be going through the student's work and strategizing how to better writing techniques and/or apply structure to writing. These lessons would be for students in K-12 level.
