I am currently enrolled at Austin Community College after taking a break from Texas A&M Corpus Christi in 2020. I am a psychology major but English has always been my strongest subject.

About Alyssa
I was a tutor for a program called AVID which stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination. I joined the program in 8th grade and I stayed in it until I graduated a semester early and went back to my high school during the spring semester as their newest AVID tutor. I tutored 9th to 12th grade students and helped them achieve understanding through Cornell methods as well as having them answer their own questions with guidance from me when needed.

I don’t rush you. Learning can be hard and I am here to make your learning easier, not more stressful. If you don’t understand something, let’s work together to figure it out! I’m here to support you and help you retain what you’ve been taught. Even when it’s hard, I am here to support you. You can do hard things, sometimes you just need to ask for help and that is exactly what I am here for.
