About Heather
I am currently an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Criminology, with a strong passion for understanding the complexities of human behaviour and society. Alongside my academic studies, I have developed excellent communication and analytical skills, particularly in English, which has been a key tool in my academic journey. I enjoy breaking down challenging concepts and finding creative ways to make learning approachable and enjoyable for others. Teaching allows me to share my knowledge and passion while empowering others to achieve their potential. I believe education is not just about understanding a subject but also about building confidence and fostering curiosity. Helping students overcome challenges, develop critical skills, and gain a deeper understanding of their studies is incredibly rewarding. By teaching, I hope to inspire others to grow academically and personally, just as I’ve been inspired by my own learning journey.

My approach to private tutoring is centred on tailoring lessons to each student’s unique needs and learning style. Drawing on my criminology background and strong English skills, I focus on breaking down complex topics into manageable steps, whether it’s mastering criminological theories, improving essay-writing techniques, or enhancing critical thinking. I prioritise interactive and engaging methods, such as analysing real-world case studies or practising structured writing exercises, to make learning both effective and enjoyable. By fostering a supportive and collaborative environment, I help students build confidence and achieve their academic goals.
