About Lucy
I am currently studying Elementary Education at Kansas State in hopes to become an early elementary school teacher. I have held several leadership positions, which have helped me develop confidence as a leader towards my peers, such as: special needs mentor, freshman mentor/executive, FCA student leader, member of the Future Educators Academy, NHS, and more. I aim to help students with reading and writing skills by providing clear guidance and motivational encouragement. I provide individualized lessons that specifically assist the student's needs and preferences. Using methods such as “I do, we do, you do” and scaffolding techniques are two examples of how I teach.
