I firmly believe that math doesn't have to be intimidating, and my goal is to dissect the subject of Algebra and bring its fundamental elements to their simplest, most comprehensible level. My teaching focuses on taking all the basics of Algebra—everything from linear equations to variables—and explaining them through intuitive guides, simple and direct language, and analogous real-world scenarios. I make sure to emphasize an understanding of why you can work out the problem, rather than expect you to memorize formulas, in order to promote real learning and lifelong skills.
Lessons with me involve warm-ups and review, then I will go through a specific math concept in simplified steps. We'll work our way through problems of this concept on an interactive platform, at your own pace, identifying difficult parts to address, followed by guided learning and problem-solving at an agreeable pace, ending with a wrap-up. I differentiate myself through an encouraging and patient tutoring process to remove math fear, so whether you are in middle school, high school, or are an adult simply interested in relearning elementary and basic Algebra, my lesson style and content are molded specifically to you, in a stress-free learning environment.
