About Shabaz A Din
Hej! I’m Shabaz, a native Danish speaker and science graduate from Denmark, now based in London.
I help English-speaking students learn Danish in a way that is structured, practical and tailored to their individual goals.
Whether you’re starting Danish from scratch, preparing to move to Denmark, learning the language for work, or simply want to become more confident speaking with Danish friends and family, I’ll help you build the skills you actually need in real-life situations.
Why learn with me?
As a native Danish speaker, I can help you with more than vocabulary and grammar. I’ll help you understand how Danish is actually spoken, including pronunciation, natural expressions, sentence structure and the differences between textbook Danish and everyday Danish.
My background as a science graduate also influences the way I teach. I like to break complicated ideas into clear, manageable steps and build your knowledge systematically rather than overwhelming you with information.
I’m particularly happy to work with complete beginners, as well as students who already know some Danish but want to improve their speaking, pronunciation or confidence.
What you can expect
Every student is different, so I adapt lessons around your goals and current level.
Depending on what you want to achieve, lessons can include:

I don’t believe in simply working through a textbook from beginning to end. Instead, we’ll focus on what will help you make real progress.
My aim is for you to leave each lesson knowing exactly what you’ve learned, what you need to practise, and what we’ll work on next.
A structured lesson
My standard session is 50 minutes of teaching followed by 10 minutes of review and feedback.
At the end of the lesson, I’ll summarise the key points, correct important mistakes and give you clear guidance on what to practise between sessions.
This means your lesson doesn’t simply end when the 50 minutes are over you have a clear plan for continuing your progress.
