I have 2 years of experience as a yearbook editor, have been a creative writing consultant and editor for a short story, and have experience as an essay editor and teacher’s assistant for students in China.

For ACT preparation, I go over several practice tests with the student and customize lessons to target problem areas. I provide test-taking advice based on their strengths and weaknesses.
For application essays, I edit essays that are submitted prior to lesson time, and use lesson time to workshop writing structure, grammar, and efficacy of content. I assign tasks for students to complete by our next session. I aim to help students stand out through their writing.
For creative writing consultation I look up competitions for students to get involved in and work through the ideation processes on a weekly basis. We workshop their ideas up until the deadline as I proofread and edit their writing.
My lessons are meant for middle to high school students who struggle with grammar and writing. I have also worked on essay writing strategies with college students -particularly those who do not speak English as their first language.
