About Hazel
I’m an English tutor with over 4 years of experience and a Master’s degree in English for Specific Purposes (ESP). I specialize in teaching English through popular culture, including video games, memes, and online communities. My lessons are fun and interactive, designed to help you learn informal language, slang, and cultural references that you won’t find in textbooks. I focus on building your listening skills and cultural understanding so you can engage confidently with contemporary media. Whether it’s decoding the latest meme or chatting about your favorite game, I make sure learning feels natural and relevant. My approach encourages you to explore language in the contexts you enjoy most. By connecting English learning with things you love, I help you stay motivated and excited. I’ve worked with students from many backgrounds who want to understand online culture better or simply improve their everyday English. Together, we’ll dive into popular media, practice real conversations, and build skills that go beyond the classroom. You’ll gain confidence using English in fun, meaningful ways.

My teaching approach focuses on practical English skills for customer service, including conflict resolution, active listening, and empathetic communication. I use targeted strategies that help you handle real-life situations with confidence and professionalism. Through plenty of practice materials, you’ll get comfortable speaking clearly and kindly in service settings.
I work closely with learners preparing for exams as well as those who travel frequently and need strong communication skills. My lessons are supportive and encouraging, designed to build your confidence step by step. We’ll practice common customer scenarios, focusing on clear responses and calming difficult conversations.
Active listening is a big part of my method. I help you understand clients fully and respond with empathy, which improves every interaction. You’ll learn useful phrases and strategies to keep conversations smooth and positive.
Together, we’ll boost your professional English so you can excel in client-facing roles. I tailor lessons to your goals and pace, making sure you feel ready for any challenge.
