About Philip
Hello! I’m a third-year Aerospace Engineering student at the University of Leeds, currently on an industry placement with Leonardo in Luton, UK. I’m on track for a First-Class degree and have a strong academic foundation in mathematics, having achieved an A* in Maths and an A in Further Maths at A-Level.
Studying engineering at a high level has strengthened not only my mathematical skills but also my ability to explain complex ideas in simple, relatable ways. I use real-world examples and practical approaches to bring maths to life, helping students see how it all connects beyond the classroom.
I tutor students of all ages, from primary level up to A-Level, and I tailor each lesson to your specific goals—whether you’re building confidence with the basics, preparing for important exams, or pushing for top grades. My teaching style is patient, clear, and adaptable. I believe that with the right guidance and encouragement, every student can enjoy and succeed in maths.
Let’s work together to turn challenges into strengths and reach your full potential!

As a friendly and approachable maths tutor, I focus on creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and explore concepts at their own pace. My teaching style is flexible, adapting to each student’s needs and learning preferences. I use a mix of real-world examples, step-by-step guidance, and interactive problem-solving to make complex ideas more accessible and engaging.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, ensuring enough time to cover key topics and practice thoroughly without feeling rushed. With experience tutoring students from KS3 through GCSE and A-Level, I tailor each session to support students in strengthening foundational skills and building confidence. My goal is to help you reach your full potential in a way that feels supportive, enjoyable, and productive.

Friendly, punctual. Not enough good things I can say about him!Philip is very patient and has a real talent for breaking down complex topics into easy-to-understand parts, which has helped me a lot with difficult concepts.
