About Adil
Having just completed 6th form and achieved 3 A*s in bio, chem, and maths, and now a uni student, I completely understand the struggles that come with GCSEs and A Levels. During my time at 6th form, I served as head boy of my school; in this role, I demonstrated leadership and communication. Additionally, I founded and spearheaded a tutoring and mentoring initiative to help younger students who are studying. From this I was able to develop key tutoring techniques. I understand that students struggle in different areas, and each requires a different approach; therefore, I start by asking the student what they struggle with and what they want to improve and gain. I am proud to have helped many students improve their grades at all ages.

My typical lesson would consist of first deciding on a topic prior to the lesson, therefore in the lesson we can first go over the content of the topic to ensure all is understood and fill in any gaps in knowledge. Next, from my own experience, I find the best way to retain knowledge is to test it, therefore we would then go over small active recall questions, then move to exam past paper questions - this therefore ensures we also nail exam technique. My lessons are aimed at all students ranging from secondary school to A Levels. For GCSEs and A Levels I teach: biology, chemistry and maths. Additionally, I also do UCAT prep, personal statement writing and interview prep for medical and dental uni. Lessons can range from 30min to 2 hours. I am a dentistry undergraduate student who achieved 3 A*s at A level biology, chemistry and maths. I scored 2230 B2 on the UCAT, and received offers from KCL, Manchester and Birmingham. Also have been tutoring the last 2 years.
