About Valdo
Hello everyone! My name is Valdo, I come from Lisbon, and I am very excited to teach you UX design. I have a degree in Multimedia Design and about 10 years of experience working in design and UX. My curiosity inspired me to keep learning and to open up this avenue of discovery. I love nature, games, puzzles, and everything that work in our mind. I started my experience as a UX designer in a start-up and since then have been working for different types of companies. I find it amazing how much we can learn and evolve by having different experiences and working with different methodologies. Thinking is key. It’s important that you can think inside and outside the box for the best solution.

Perfect! I contacted Valdo because I’m starting to think ahead of my career of becoming a UX designer. He has listened to my strategic goals about what I want to work on to make it happen. Also, he decided to ask me some questions about the difference between UI and UX. He provided clarification between the two not by technical reasons, but with actual experience in life over all. I told myself that this is the kind of mentor that I want to have to assist me to become a professional designer some day. I highly recommend, Valdo to anyone!

I had a nice experience with Valdo!
I took a step-up in my research skills and prototyping, with his tutoring. I really recommend it.I loved the class structure and all the content. His classes have been crucial for my consolidation of skills. Last weeks I saw a huge improvement on my skills in assessment of problems and changed my way of looking into design. I find my UI a lot more effective, respecting readability and color contrast. He showed me all the tools used in the professional setting to make sure your designs are reliable and understandable. I fully recommend him has a teacher.
As a professional transitioning from graphic designer to UX I can confirm that it's a delight to work with Valdo and I wouldn’t hesitate to work with him again.
Valdo was one of the best mentors I ever had, firm but always finding ways to engage students.
One example is how he explained thoroughly the area of UX research and how clear he was with all lessons.
I was also very impressed by the positive methodologies used such as practical exercises and even games prompting me as a student to have a better understanding of the subject.
Valdo provided a very thorough explanation on how to create my app. He helped me to think critically about the users interactions and to anticipate key challenges. It was very insightful.
