About Nmesoma
Hi! I’m Nmesoma, a Computer Science student at the University of Manchester currently smashing my Foundation Year with distinction. I’ve always had an eye for Numbers—Maths has been my passion since I was little—and I love sharing that excitement with others. I fell into tutoring informally back in secondary school, helping classmates boost their grades, and there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing someone gain confidence and “click” with a tricky topic. Outside of academia, I’m a total theatre geek (ask me about my last show!), and I play tennis to keep the perfect balance between mind and body. In our lessons, you’ll get a mix of structured practice, hands-on problem solving, and plenty of encouragement—because I firmly believe anyone can excel in school if they have the right support. I begin each new student journey with a short assessment to identify their preferred learning style—visual, auditory, or kinaesthetic—so I can tailor every lesson to how they learn best. Lessons revolve around carefully selected practice questions and hands-on problem solving, encouraging you to think actively rather than passively listen. I guide you step by step, asking probing questions to check understanding and build confidence, rather than lecturing straight through. Typical lesson length: 60–90 minutes (up to 2 hours if we’re diving deep) Qualifications & experience: Helped classmates excel in maths, going from C grades to A throughout secondary school; recently completed a Foundation Year in Computer Science with distinction (87%+) Who it’s for: Students aged 5–16 (KS1 to GCSE) in need of GCSE Maths support or foundational numeracy skills I offer lessons primarily online for convenience, with the option of in-person sessions if you’re based in Manchester. My goal is simple: make maths (and basic Physics) both accessible and enjoyable, so you not only pass exams but truly understand the concepts.
