About Victoria
I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice with nine years of bedside experience across cardiology, neurology, as well as a range of specialty populations including stroke, neuro oncology, heart failure, orthopedic spine, and liver disease. My clinical background spans both inpatient and outpatient care, giving me a broad and grounded understanding of adult health across the full spectrum of chronic disease.
For the past two years, I have been teaching in a board-certified BSN program at the university level, where I have developed a strong command of how to present complex nursing content in ways that actually reach students. I know where learners get stuck, how to meet them there, and how to move them forward.
As a doctorally prepared nurse practitioner, I am also deeply invested in the nursing profession itself. I have a deep interest in issues surrounding scope of practice, career advancement, and the broader professional concerns that shape what it means to be a nurse today. Beyond the classroom and clinic, I have been involved in community education and quality improvement initiatives in both hospital and community settings. I love this profession, and I genuinely want to see nursing students not just pass their exams, but thrive in their careers.

My teaching is supportive and collaborative - I want you to feel like we're working through material together. My goal is always understanding over memorization! When you truly grasp the content, you will be able to apply it across all areas of nursing, including nursing exams and patient care.
A typical lesson begins with understanding where you're stuck and building from there. I will tailor my teaching to your learning style, whether it's visual, conceptual, case-based, or something else entirely.
What sets me apart is my passion for educating knowledgeable, compassionate, and strong nurses. My students appreciate my deep understanding of content, my excitement about teaching, and my commitment to their success.
My lessons are for pre-licensure nursing students in ADN or BSN programs. I am best equipped to help those students struggling with pharmacology, chronic disease content, or those who want to improve at translating knowledge into exam performance. I also work with students on scientific writing and research evaluation for health science courses.
