About MELISSA
I’m an experienced dog trainer with over a decade of hands-on, field-based experience working with dogs of all temperaments including complex cases where I’m often the last resort and their last hope. I’ve had strong success helping dogs that others have struggled to train by focusing on the root cause of behavior, especially reactivity, rather than just the surface issues.
My experience spans everything from puppies to dogs with severe “red zone” behavioral challenges, as well as general obedience and foundational training. Beyond training, I also guide owners on overall dog care, including basic health awareness, veterinary considerations, and breed-specific traits drawing from my experience working with dogs.
What sets my approach apart is that I don’t just train your dog, I teach you how to understand your dog. By helping you read behavior, communicate effectively, and build the right structure, I aim to create lasting change that improves both your dog’s life and your relationship together.

Each session includes practical guidance along with clear behavioral theory and foundational understanding, so you know not just what to do, but why it works. My goal is to equip you with the tools to raise your dog in a way that creates lasting, lifelong results, with effective improvements seen quickly when the provided guidance is consistently followed.
