About Mariella
I have an extensive knowledge in English, History and Theatre Studies. Having studied subjects such as Shakespeare (to a degree level), Gothic literature, 20th Century history, including Civil Rights and British Wars from 1853-1945, and drama and poetry. These subjects have allowed to apply my creative teaching styles to academia.
I have both a BA (hons) in Drama and Theatre and a Postgraduate Diploma in Physical Acting, from the University of Kent. I have training in physical and vocal acting techniques and a knowledge of the LAMDA syllabus.

My teaching method is creative, imaginative and practical. Giving students a chance to explore and interrogate material through practice and theory, rather than just theory. I prefer a “out of the seat” approach and tailor classes to the individuals needs.
I tackle vocal training, physical training and overall confidence during my teaching. Using drama techniques to help the student with their individual needs. I always strive to be engaging and encouraging, focusing on creating a safe environment for the student to explore freely.
