About Ngene
"My job here is to help you get better, step by step. I’m here to teach you proper technique, timing, and how to play with confidence — not just to make noise."
"I have a plan for us. We’ll start with basics: hand technique, counting, and simple rhythms. Then we’ll build to songs and real grooves. You’ll see progress every week."
"I respect your time and your goals. In class we’ll be focused, but we’ll also have fun. I’ll correct you to help you grow, not to embarrass you."
"I’ve studied/played percussion, and other drums, and I keep learning too. What I teach you are skills that work in bands, events, and real music."
"If you show up and practice, I’ll show up and teach you everything I know. We’re a team."
What age are your students? I’ll tailor the tone for kids, teens, or adults.

# *5 Big Reasons to Learn Drums*
*1. *Brain + Focus Boost*_
Playing drums makes both sides of your brain work. It improves memory, coordination, and focus. Great for school too — drummers are usually really good at math and multitasking.
*2. *Stress Relief__
Got energy or stress? Hit a drum. It’s therapy. You get to let it out in rhythm instead of bottling it up.
*3. *Confidence on Stage__
Drummers are the heartbeat of any band. You learn timing, leadership, and how to perform in front of people. That confidence carries into class presentations and life.
*4. *Connect with Culture__
From *djembe* in West Africa to *timbales* in Latin music to drum kits in pop/rock — drums are in every culture. Learning drums = learning history + connecting with people worldwide.
*5. *Fun + Career Options_*
It’s fun first. But you can also: play in bands, teach, record, do events, YouTube covers, or join worship teams. Music skills open doors.
"Drums aren’t just about hitting things. They teach you discipline, teamwork, and how to listen. Plus, you get to be the one everyone feels in the music. If you can keep a beat, you can do anything.
- *"I have no rhythm"* → Rhythm can be learned. We all start with clapping.
- *"It’s loud/expensive"* → You can start with hands on a table, practice pad, or djembe. No full kit needed.
- *"Will it help me in school?"* → Yes. Drumming improves focus, counting, and coordination.
