I am a teacher holding a Master's Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education with six years of classroom experience. I have taught 4th, 2nd and 3rd grade and also worked as a Reading tutor on the side. I am highly creative, encourage hands on and investigative learning and enjoy working one on one with students.

My teaching methodology is varied and changes depending on the topic. I use some lecture, powerpoints, small group investigations and activities, games, journal writing, classroom discussions, student lead learning, multi-disciplinary activities that tie into literature and cross curricular activities that provide extensions with food or art. I try to provide opportunities for movement and hands-on learning whenever I can as well.

Details
My rate for a local student will be $20 an hour. I will travel for free within a 20 mile radius, but will charge $5.00 extra per 10 miles over. I feel most comfortable tutoring in a library setting.
