About Thomas
I am a recent Economics and Econometrics graduate with a strong quantitative background and experience leading support sessions for younger university students. My interest in teaching comes from seeing how different approaches can make challenging subjects more accessible. Growing up with a twin who often struggled with maths showed me the value of clear explanations and patience. I hope to help students build confidence, improve their understanding, and achieve their academic goals.

I have worked as a Student Tutor at university, leading support sessions for first year students in mathematical modules for my course. This experience strengthened my ability to explain complex material clearly and adapt my teaching style to different learning needs. My aim is to create an engaging and supportive learning environment that helps students improve both their understanding and exam performance. My teaching approach focuses on developing a strong understanding of core concepts and building confidence through guided practice. I begin by identifying areas where students need support, before explaining topics in a clear and structured manner and working through examples together. Lessons typically last one hour, although I am happy to adapt the length to suit individual requirements.
