About Guillermo
I'm a London-based economist with a PhD from the University of Washington, Seattle, and experience across academia and industry. I've taught economics and statistics at universities in the US, Canada, and Argentina, working with students from undergraduate to PhD level.
I've also mentored high-school students in Japan, Switzerland, and the US, guiding them remotely through research projects. Whether you're studying economics or statistics, or developing your own research, I can help you understand complex ideas and apply them with confidence.
My research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and cited by outlets including Bloomberg and the Financial Times.

My lessons are tailored to your goals, level, and pace. Whether you're getting to grips with economics, working through statistics, preparing for exams, or developing a research project, we'll focus on what you need most.
I explain the intuition behind concepts before moving into the maths, using practical examples to make abstract ideas easier to understand. We'll work through problems together, with time for questions and opportunities for you to practise and build confidence.
I work with students from high school through to postgraduate study. You can bring questions, course materials, or research ideas, and we'll use them to shape our sessions. My aim is to help you develop the understanding and skills to work independently.
