About Rachel Mae
Hello! I'm Rachel, an aspiring educator with a strong passion for helping students achieve their learning goals. As a college student specializing in English language education, I have developed a solid foundation in grammar, reading comprehension, academic writing, and effective communication. I also have experience providing one-on-one reading instruction to learners with developing literacy skills, which has strengthened my ability to adapt lessons to each student's pace and learning style.
I believe that every student learns differently, so I create a supportive, patient, and interactive learning environment where questions are always welcome and mistakes are seen as opportunities to grow. My lessons are designed to build both competence and confidence through clear explanations, practical examples, and engaging activities.
Whether you're looking to improve your English grammar, strengthen your reading and writing skills, prepare for school, or gain confidence in speaking English, I'm here to guide you every step of the way. My goal is not only to help you succeed academically but also to make learning enjoyable and meaningful.

My approach as a tutor is student-centered, interactive, and encouraging. I believe that learners understand and retain concepts better when they actively participate in the lesson rather than simply listen to explanations. I use techniques such as guided questioning, real-life examples, visual aids, and gradual practice to help students build confidence and develop critical thinking skills. A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previous concepts, followed by the introduction of a new topic using clear explanations and practical examples. Students then engage in guided exercises, receive immediate feedback, and end the lesson with a short recap and independent practice to reinforce learning. What sets me apart is my patience, adaptability, and ability to tailor lessons to each student's learning style and pace. As someone with experience in one-on-one tutoring and a background in teaching English and reading, I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My lessons are ideal for elementary to college-level learners, particularly those studying English as a Second Language (ESL), grammar, reading comprehension, academic writing, and communication skills, as well as students who need personalized guidance to improve their confidence and proficiency in English.
