About Carlie
Hi! My name is Carlie and I am currently an Elementary Education student! I learn online & am fully engrossed in new online learning techniques every day! Along with college I work at my local elementary school as a paraprofessional in the autistic support room. I am an avid hiker, tennis player and reader. Growing up I always dreamed of being someone memorable. I wanted to be a teacher who was remembered. I wanted to be a gymnast who was remembered. Quickly realizing that my importance was not in everyone remembering me but in the small groups of kids that would give me hugs at the end of the day.

My main teaching methods are game-based and group learning. A typical lesson plan from me looks like a strong hook, a information packed middle and a fun way to store that information to finish it off.
Something that sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to connect with students. As a college student I am constantly engaged with new and fun ways to learn and teach.
My lessons are best for students in grades k-7. I also have experience with differentiated instruction and am able to work with students with learning disabilities.
